Die Plates by Extruder Platform

Most large polyolefin lines are built on a small number of compounding platforms. JINFENG's reference die plates cover the main ones:

Coperion ZSK lines

22 reference die plates for Coperion ZSK 320, ZSK 350 and ZSK 380, covering 200,000 t/a to 600,000 t/a lines, die plate diameters from Φ762 to Φ1223 mm, and up to 6,125 die holes.

JSW CMP and CIM lines

19 reference die plates for JSW CIM460, CIM460PII, CIM510, CMP308, CMP335, CMP362, CMP387 and CMP400, covering 200,000 t/a to 500,000 t/a lines, die plate diameters from Φ910 to Φ1570 mm, and up to 7,584 die holes.

Kobe Steel LCM lines

8 reference die plates for Kobe Steel LCM400H, LCM450, LCM450G, LCM450H, LCM500 and LCM560, covering 200,000 t/a to 450,000 t/a lines, die plate diameters from Φ1050 to Φ1430 mm, and up to 4,850 die holes.

DLRPM lines

16 reference die plates for DLRPM CME-450, SJSHL-Z320, SJSHL-Z350 and Z320, covering 8,000 t/a to 350,000 t/a lines, die plate diameters from Φ330 to Φ1350 mm, and up to 5,280 die holes.

Basell-licensed lines

3 reference die plates for Basell KE600, covering 200,000 t/a to 270,000 t/a lines, die plate diameters from Φ870 to Φ1050 mm, and up to 2,848 die holes.

Equipment brand and model names identify the customer's line only. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Large PP Die Plates: 350,000–600,000 t/a

World-scale polypropylene lines, including the 450,000 t/a die plate JINFENG built for Tianjin Sinopec SABIC in 2012, then the largest die plate of its type.

PP Die Plates: 300,000 t/a

PP Die Plates: 200,000–250,000 t/a

JINFENG's first large die plate references date from 2003, when it supplied a die plate for a 200,000 t/a PP line at Yanshan Petrochemical.

PE Die Plates: 200,000–500,000 t/a

Polyethylene die plates carry more die holes than PP plates of similar capacity, typically with 3.2–3.5 mm holes. The largest reference is a Φ1570 mm die plate with 7,584 holes for a 500,000 t/a line.

EVA, POE and EVOH Die Plates

EVA and POE are pelletized in chilled water at about 7–15 °C, so these die plates need a heating and insulation design that keeps the melt flowing while the face is cooled hard. JINFENG developed dedicated die plates for these grades; at Beijing Yanshan, an EVA-specific die plate solved the pellet shape and sticking problems seen with the imported plate on a high melt-index grade.

Using This List for an Inquiry

If your line appears here, or uses the same equipment model, include the following in your inquiry so the existing design can be checked against your plant:

• Equipment maker, model, and line capacity
• Die plate drawing and revision, or photos and main dimensions of the existing plate
• Polymer grade and pelletizing water temperature
• Number and diameter of die holes, if known
• Any problems with the current plate, such as frozen holes, pellet tails, or sticking
