CNC Machining
JINFENG uses in-house CNC machining for drawing-based manufacturing of pelletizing components.
Since 1993
JINFENG's pelletizing component business began in 1993, when Shenyang Jinfeng Special Tools Co., Ltd. was founded jointly by the Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Strength Physics and Materials Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Shenyang Jinfeng Special Equipment Co., Ltd., established in 2006, manufactures pelletizing die plates, complete pelletizer knives, and pelletizer cutter hubs under the JINFENG brand.
We work with drawings, samples, dimensions, equipment interfaces, polymer information, and operating conditions to assess each component requirement.
JINFENG's product and service scope includes:
Review the Pelletizer Knives and Cutter Hub product scope for related supply and inquiry details.
Our supply experience includes applications involving PP, PE (HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE and full-density PE), EVA, POE, and EVOH, with most current die plate work for 300,000–600,000 t/a lines. Component requirements are defined around the customer's equipment and process information.
JINFENG started with cutting materials and moved into die plates as polyolefin lines grew larger.
JINFENG has more than 1,000 m² of research and testing space and long-term technical cooperation with the Institute of Metal Research and the Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Northeastern University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Shenyang University of Technology, Shenyang Ligong University, and the Institute of Strength Physics and Materials Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Development work includes the company's own TiC-NiCr cermet for pelletizer knives and die plate hard faces, and thermal and melt-flow simulation with ANSYS Fluent to improve temperature uniformity across the die plate and prevent frozen holes. Die plates, knives and cutter hubs have also been developed for EVA, POE, and EVOH. In 2024–2025 JINFENG added high-precision CNC equipment and a photovoltaic power supply at its plant.
JINFENG's manufacturing capabilities include:
Rough machining is done on conventional machine tools for efficiency; finish machining is done on CNC equipment to hold precision. These processes support drawing-based custom manufacturing and evaluation of existing components. When a complete drawing is unavailable, photographs, dimensional information, and a physical sample can help establish the required interfaces.
JINFENG uses in-house CNC machining for drawing-based manufacturing of pelletizing components.
JINFENG uses in-house vacuum brazing for applicable pelletizing component work.
JINFENG works to an ISO quality management system, from technical agreement and drawing confirmation through an in-process control plan, self-inspection and specialist inspection, to final product inspection. The inspection center includes a grade 00 granite surface plate, metallographic microscope, impact, tensile and bending testing machines, a handheld metal analyzer, an infrared carbon-sulfur analyzer, benchtop hardness testers, and a surface roughness tester.
Incoming forgings are checked for composition, dimensions, hardness and internal flaws. In-house inspection of finished parts includes dimensional inspection, hardness testing, die-hole inspection, surface inspection, heating-channel pressure and leak testing, and flaw detection of hard faces and brazed joints. The applicable inspection scope is selected according to the product drawing and order requirements.
Ultrasonic testing (UT) can be arranged through a qualified third-party inspection provider when required for a project.
Many inquiries begin with an existing component that needs to be identified, replaced, or evaluated. JINFENG can assess customer drawings and dimensional information, or use a physical sample as the starting point when complete documentation is unavailable.
For die plates, the assessment considers the main dimensions, mounting interfaces, die-hole area, melt passages, heating-channel information, and cutting-side features shown on the drawing or sample. For pelletizer knives and cutter hubs, the focus includes mounting details, knife positions, shaft connection, and the relationship between the knives and die plate.
The resulting manufacturing scope is agreed around the component and the customer's order requirements.
